Golfing is a relaxing and fun sport to undertake. You don’t have to be wealthy to be a golfer, all you need is a set of clubs and a place to play. There are also driving ranges to practice your skills. People enjoy golfing because it takes their mind off of their every day problems.

A helpful tip when it comes to golf is to remember to tip your caddie if you are playing at a course that provides one. This is important because they are waiting on you much like a waiter and may only receive minimal hourly pay from the course manager.

A helpful tip when it comes to golf is to make sure that you are aware of the type of concessions provided on the course – if any. This is important, because you will need to bring snacks or beverages, if none are available on the course. You don’t want hunger pangs half way through a round!

A helpful tip when it comes to golf is to try to play with other people that match your skill set. This will be helpful in making sure that you all have similar expectations on the course. Playing with too wide of a skill set may cause frustration among players if they are either being held back or shown up.

To hit a sand shot you should try to take a shallow cut of sand about ten inches long rather than creating an explosion of sand right at the ball. This method of sand shot will give you the best chance of getting your ball out of shallow to mid-range bunkers.

Be certain to keep a pure mental focus and concentration on your next stroke. Don’t let other players’ or even your own good or bad shots effect the next one you take. Worrying about mistakes can have an effect on your swing, so forget them and move forward.

Remember that your hips and arms need to work together in a good golf swing. They should move simultaneously. While your arms bring the club down, your hips should already be swiveling out of the way. Learning to properly coordinate your upper and lower body will provide much-improved swing performance.

Rich or poor, golf is a great sport to take up. With practice and dedication, you may even be able to become a pro at it. Some people just do it for fun too, so don’t worry too much if you’re not at the skill level of a pro golfer, but you could be with enough practice!

  1. Add power to your swing by using your body, not your arms. Lean in to power your shot. Turn with the ball on the downswing. This lets you use the power of all of the muscles in your body to get a better shot, instead of being limited to just your arm muscles.

  2. Align your club face before you align your body. Before you address the ball, set your club face to the line which you will be hitting. Only after the club face is lined up should you bring yourself in and assume your grip. The club face is the most important part of your alignment, so focus on that first.

  3. Ensure maximum opportunity for consistency with your drives by always using the same tee height. Teeing too low can lead to grounders, while teeing to high can cause you to pop the ball up and lose valuable distance. By taking the time to practice your drives and experiment with the best tee height, you can approach each shot off the tee with the same potential for distance.
