Golf Tips:Golf Getting You Down? Expert Tips To Up Your Game

If you are just starting to venture into the world of golf, you’ve come to the right place. If you are hesitating on what to do to improve your game, do not think you are alone. It is a common feeling. Continue on for some great tips on learning the fundamentals of golf.

A helpful tip when it comes to golf is that if you are trying to keep your shots from arching too high, you want to make sure that your follow through swing ends up with your hands close to your body. This will give you more distance and a more predictable shot.

A helpful tip when it comes to golf is to see if you can borrow clubs from a friend or course before investing any money in equipment. This is important because it is a way to find out if golf is right for you without wasting any money at all.

Wiggling your toes helps you figure out the correct posture as you are getting ready to swing the club. If you are able to move your feet without difficulty, you are probably not leaning in far enough. You need to lean slightly into the ball in order for your feet to move just a bit. Make sure your feet do not move too far.

Not trying to be too perfect will help you as you learn the game of golf. Stay relaxed and remember that mistakes happen. Keeping a sense of humor will allow you to recover form your mistakes.

If you need to make a longer than normal bunker shot, try taking a nine iron instead of a sand wedge. By taking a nine iron you increase the distance you are able to carry the ball out of the sand and decrease the likelihood that you will skull the ball by taking a sand wedge and swinging too hard.

Remember, accuracy is so much more important than power, this is why some 80 year-olds can out drive 20 year-olds. Practice with hitting the ball consistently in almost the same spot on the club. This is easy to say or instruct but difficult to do. Simply apply some chap-stick or vaseline to the head of your club and swing. The ball will leave an imprint on the club showing you where the ball was struck. However, don’t use this during a game with friends as this could be considered cheating in a game because it also corrects slices.

Golf isn’t half as difficult as quantum physics. You can enjoy a leisurely game of golf with friends. It is now time to go try these tips and develop a better training routine to improve your skills.

  4. Maximize your golf ball hitting power by not bringing the club back to far. When you pull the club back it will boost your hitting power, but when you over do your swing, it destroys your posture and can cause you to miss the ball all together, or even worse making you get an injury.
